One of the acupuncturists at work had a client with it. I think it was to do with cycling too much or with bad form. I'll ask him about it next time I see him but it sounded unpleasant! I've had quite a few cyclists come in with various problems in the pelvic region but none have mentioned those kind of symptoms yet. Good luck with your client!

I've also heard about this condition relating to cycling or related activities. The client could try changing to a slightly differently shaped seat if this is the case. Rest would be advisable to confirm the relationship.
